Well Engineered has replaced an old wooden exterior staircase for an apartment building in Halifax.  The existing staircase was past its prime and was becoming a safety concern.  This project was unique due to the tight spacing of the adjacent building.  To reduce the impact to the residents of the apartments, the onsite construction schedule was reduced by making the stairs a bolted assembly.  The structure of the stairs and the railing is made from galvanized steel, and the decking and stair treads are aluminum.  Galvanic corrosion is mitigated using a barrier between the two surfaces.
