Grain Elevator Fire Escapes

W.Eng has supplied the design for a set of custom galvanized steel fire escapes for a local system of grain elevators.  The existing fire escapes were aged, weathered, and required a replacement to meet today's standards.

To suit different tower heights and access points, the fire escapes were designed to be modular, saving design time, material costs, and simplifying the installation process.  Due to a lack of suitable anchor points, the escapes were designed to be primarily freestanding with minimum lateral supports.
